The origins of English
Following this link you may study 25 maps that show and describe the origins of the English language in its various contexts.
History of England
The History of England website came as a concept to its editor/author when his teenage grandchildren emigrated to the USA and he was concerned that they would never learn the history of their homeland.
According to the editor/author, history as taught in English schools is very incomplete and kids tend to end up knowing something about Henry 8th or World War II and very little about the broad picture and a feeling of what 1000 years ago actually means.
No look at culture is complete without a study of religions and he has included a history and theology of all the religions that are now widely practiced in England including Islam.
